The Beauty of Being Unfinished (Blog Post)

Let’s be real for a second. Life can feel like one relentless rollercoaster. The highs make us feel unstoppable, and the lows leave us wondering if we’ll ever find solid ground again. Lately, I’ve been feeling the weight of the in-between—the moments when life is just lifeing. The grind doesn’t stop, the questions don’t let up, and sometimes it feels like I’m carrying bags I don’t remember packing.

But here’s the truth I’m clinging to: God is still God-ing.

Even when my plans unravel, He’s still weaving His masterpiece. Even when I feel like I’ve hit a wall, He’s creating a door. He’s God-ing in the chaos, in the stillness, in the waiting.

I won’t lie; there have been days when I’ve felt undone—like the broken pieces of my life could never form something beautiful. But then I remember that this is His specialty. He’s the potter, and I’m the clay. The chiseling, the refining, the stretching—it’s all part of the process. And the promise? He who began a good work in me isn’t going to leave it unfinished.

When the Wait Feels Heavy

There’s something about the waiting that tests you. It’s not the loud storms that challenge my faith the most—it’s the quiet uncertainty. It’s when you’ve prayed the prayer, fasted the fast, and still nothing seems to shift. That’s where the real work happens. That’s where faith is forged.

Maybe you’re in that space right now. Maybe life feels like it’s doing the most, and you’re just trying to keep your head above water. Can I remind you of something today? The same God who spoke galaxies into existence is holding your life together. The same God who calmed the raging sea sees your tears, hears your prayers, and is already working it out.

The Beauty of Being Unfinished

I used to think being unfinished was a weakness. I wanted to present the polished version of myself to the world—the strong, capable, put-together woman who had it all figured out. But God isn’t asking for the highlight reel. He wants the raw, unfiltered, vulnerable pieces of me—the ones that remind me I can’t do this without Him.

So if you feel unfinished today, you’re in good company. The waiting, the struggle, the messy middle—it’s all part of the good work He’s doing in you. And here’s the best part: God finishes what He starts. Every setback, every detour, every moment you feel like you’ve lost your way—it’s all working together for your good.

Prayer for Today

Lord,

Thank You for being the God who never stops working. Even when life feels heavy and uncertain, I trust that You’re still moving. Help me to see You in the details—the little moments where Your faithfulness shines through. Give me the strength to endure the process, the patience to wait on Your timing, and the faith to believe that You’re not finished with me yet.

Father, remind me that Your plans for me are good, even when the path feels unclear. Keep my heart anchored in Your promises, and help me to release the burdens I was never meant to carry. In the waiting, in the struggle, and in the unknown, let me rest in the truth that You are still God!

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

My Weekend Playlist

Music has a way of speaking to the parts of us that words can’t reach. It reminds us of God’s faithfulness when life feels heavy and fills the quiet spaces with hope and strength. As we head into the weekend, I’m sharing what’s been on my playlist—songs that remind me He’s still working, even when the process feels unfinished.
