You Were Always Part of the Plan
Scripture:
“And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children... Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.”
— Ephesians 3:6,12 NLT
Devotional:
Sometimes the question isn’t Can God do it?
It’s will He do it for me?
We sit quietly in rooms full of people and wonder if we’ve been counted out.
If maybe we missed our moment. If maybe God saw us, but didn’t choose us.
But Ephesians 3 interrupts that lie with truth.
Paul reveals something that should shake your spirit awake: you were always part of the plan.
Not an afterthought. Not a backup. Not someone God was stuck with.
You are a daughter or son deliberately placed in the family of God.
This chapter unveils a holy mystery that once felt hidden behind stained glass and sealed scrolls.
But now, it’s made clear—God’s plan was never limited to one people, one background, one kind of person.
His love broke every border and crossed every line to get to you.
Your story, with all its twists and turns, didn’t cancel your calling. It confirmed it.
Paul doesn’t just want you to know God.
He wants you to be rooted in love, strengthened by the Spirit, and filled with the fullness of God.
This is not about checking off spiritual boxes or pretending everything is okay.
This is about meeting a God who knows your mess and still calls you marvelous.
A God who doesn’t ask you to perform—He just asks you to believe.
This is not religion.
This is relationship.
It’s access.
It’s grace.
It’s being empowered by the same Spirit that raised Jesus and changed Paul.
So don’t play small.
Don’t shrink when God has called you to stretch.
He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all you can ask, think, or imagine—through you.
That means your voice matters. Your yes matters. Your presence in the room is on purpose.
You are proof that God’s plan still stands.
Declaration
I am chosen by God.
I am not an afterthought. I am part of His plan.
His Spirit lives in me, and His love surrounds me.
I will not shrink or second-guess what Heaven has confirmed.
I am rooted. I am filled. I am ready.
And God is doing more than I could ever imagine—through me.
Prayer:
Father,
Thank You for including me in Your story. Thank You for tearing down the walls and inviting me into something eternal. Let me never forget that I was always part of the plan — not because of who I am, but because of who You are. Fill me with Your Spirit. Strengthen my faith. Help me to grasp just how wide, long, high, and deep Your love really is.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
