Clearing Space for What’s Next (Blog Post)
I’ve learned this lesson the hard way. For years, I carried the weight of old habits and limiting beliefs, hoping God would show up and work miracles in a space that was already overcrowded. I prayed for clarity while clinging to distractions, asking God to bless me while still holding on to what He told me to release.
One day, I found myself crying out to God, frustrated by the lack of a breakthrough, and I felt Him gently whisper: Make room for Me. It wasn’t loud or dramatic, but it was enough to stop me in my tracks. That whisper made me realize I’d been asking God to fill a space that was already too full.
I started to do the hard work of clearing the room—not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally. I said no to opportunities that didn’t align with my purpose. I stopped entertaining conversations that drained my faith. I turned down the volume on fear and self-doubt and turned up the Word of God in my life.
Clearing space isn’t easy. It requires faith to let go of what’s familiar, even when it no longer serves you.
It’s uncomfortable to silence the noise you’ve grown used to or to walk away from the relationships that no longer pour into you. But here’s the good news: every time you make room, God fills it with something greater.
This week, I want to invite you to join me in clearing the space for what God is doing next in your life. Starting tomorrow, we will walk through three days of reflection, surrender, and intentional growth. Together, we’ll learn to identify the noise, release the weight, and cultivate an atmosphere where faith can flourish.
You don’t have to wait for your breakthrough—you can prepare for it. And it starts with making room.
Let’s do this together. See you tomorrow!
