When the Weapons Feel Like They’re Winning (Devotional)

Scripture: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. — 2 Corinthians 10:4 NKJV There are days when the spiritual warfare is loud. Not figuratively. Not metaphorically. Loud. You can feel it in your chest. See it in your relationships. Hear it in your thoughts. And if you’re not careful, you’ll start to believe the lie that what you are facing is stronger than the One who called you. You know the Word. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. But right now, some of the weapons are giving “prosper.” The anxiety is flaring again. The attacks are relentless. You’re praying, but your voice is shaky. You’re believing, but your heart is bruised. You’re tired of holding it together, and part of you wonders if God has gone quiet or if you just stopped hearing Him.
